I recently had bilateral cataract surgery performed by Mr Scala which also corrected my short sight at the same time. After having poor vision since the age of 10, I now have 20/20 vision. The results are stunning - it's like having new eyes. I feel that Mr Scala is a very skilled surgeon and I felt completely confident in his abilities. The aftercare was also excellent. I'm very, very happy with the results.

qI Had to have a complicated op due to faulty lense from another Company. I could barely see and was so Qeworried and upset. Mr Scarla was so reassuring and knew exactly what needed to be done. I had researched how good he was and travelled from Peterborough to Manchester. Now I am restored to 20/20 vision. I couldn’t praise the whole experience received from Mr Scarla enough from secretaries, assistants and Mr Scarla himself from initial enquiry to op and after care. Thank you so much. I am delighted

I saw Mr Scala following some retinal problems which had been detected during a routine optician appointment. I felt the issues were investigated thoroughly and reassurance provided. Mr Scala has also recommended cataract surgery but given that I have not had this surgery as yet, I am not yet able to comment on my experience from a surgical perspective.

Following my two operations with Mr Scala I can say that his expertise and caring professionalism is absolutely top of the range. My initial consultations showed up a massive astigmatism that had been concealed by 40 years of wearing hard/gas permeable contact lens and complicated the cataract procedures. Mr Scala adjusted his calculations to accommodate this and I am thrilled with my results. I now only need driving glasses and for the majority of my daily life am glasses/contact lens free. My reading and mid range sight is amazingly good!

He is an extremely professional, friendly, flexible and highly competent medical practitioner. He was happy to answer answer my list of questions (on every visit). He was very understanding of my fears and anxieties about complex cataract surgery and did all he could to minimise the stress I was experiencing. ( I am 55 and have already had retinal detachment surgery. I have a mother who had retinal detachments and cataract surgeries in both eyes). He explained the surgical procedure/medical problem/answered questions in layman's terms. He inspired trust and confidence. I feel that he genuinely wants to do the best he can for his patient.
