“Following years of intermittent neck and back pain I suffered a slipped disc between C5 and C6 vertebrae in my neck which resulted in constant nerve pain in my arms and neck and general discomfort and being unable to work or carry out normal activities. I was referred to see Mr Bhagawati to diagnose and discuss treatment options. From the outset Mr Bhagawati put me at ease and was able to diagnose the nerve compression that was occurring due to the slipped disc and we discussed treatment options, including surgery, along with all the pros and cons. I opted to have surgery and have an ACDF performed. The experience of surgery was surprisingly stress free and I was in a taxi and on the train home the next day free from the nerve pain that had been so debilitating. The aftercare and follow up was excellent and I was back at work within 2 months and back running and doing martial arts (BJJ) within 4 months. I have full range of motion in my neck and have no sensation or indication that there is an implant where the disc was. If you are considering ACDF surgery then don't worry we get the easy part of being asleep while the work is done and you will soon be back to feeling normal again.“

My experience with Dr. Bhagawati has been really great. I can't thank him enough for the excellent advice he's given me before the surgery and the successful recovery I've had after taking the decision to get the L5-S1 discectomy surgery. Before the surgery, I was suffering from really bad sciatica pain down my left leg due to the L5-S1 disc bulge and my lower back was completely bent forward. I was taking several different painkillers from my GP and going to physiotherapy but none of them helped even after few months. I took an MRI scan and consulted with Dr. Bhagawati, who offered me the different treatment options and clearly explained to me the benefits and the quick effectiveness of the disectomy surgery. I choose the surgical option as it was the most effective treatment for my sciatica and I was able to walk straight up and the pain went away immediately after the next day of surgery. I would highly recommend anyone in my similar situation to consider the surgery as its quite effective, quick and minimally invasive.

Mr Bhagawati was extremely patient and explained fully the complete procedure. I was admitted and then discharged the next day virtually pain free. My recovery has been well managed and I would recommend this procedure if advised. The benefits far outlay any possible side effects

I have had spinal injections because I have a disc problem and had been in considerable pain for months. The first set of injections helped but after a subsequent set I am pain free and have been able to stop taking all my pain medication. I am very pleased with the outcome.

I was very happy with my treatment from the time I arrived to hospital ,the treatment and the quickness of my recovery. I was worried of how painful th treatment would be and I was surprised at how painless it was and how quick it was. I was fully functional the following day and my pain has eased so much.
