



Cardiothoracic Surgery
Mr David Lawrence is a Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon with nearly two decades of experience in the treatment and diagnosis of cardiothoracic conditions including lung cancer and mitral valve issues. He sees private patients at The Harley Street Clinic.
Dr Lawrence gained his primary medical qualifications at King’s College London in 1990, after which he undertook his specialist training at various renowned London Hospitals including Harefield Hospital, Kings College London, St George's, The Hammersmith and The Heart Hospitals. During this time, Dr Lawrence worked towards his Master of Surgery Degree, where he undertook Gene Therapy research. After this he was appointed as Thoracic Surgeon at the University College London Heart Hospital. Dr Lawrence is well versed in minimally invasive Thoracic surgical techniques such as the Da Vinci Robotic Si Surgical system, as well as more conventional straight forward surgical procedures.
Dr Lawrence centres his practice around a holistic approach and evidence-based medicine, in order to provide his patients with the information they require to make informed decisions regarding their treatment. This allows him to deliver the highest standard of care. Dr Lawrence is also an active member of the research community, authoring various papers on mesothelioma and coronary artery surgery.
