



Plastic Surgery
Mr Damir Kosutic is an internationally acclaimed expert in Lymphoedema Microsurgery, Natural Tissue Breast Reconstruction (DIEP flap, PAP flap, thigh flaps) and Penile Reconstruction (post-cancer and transgender surgery). He is a full-time Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the prestigious Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester, where he is responsible for the development of complex microsurgical reconstruction. He is the only plastic surgeon in the UK trained in Lymphoedema Microsurgery by Prof. Cheng, a pioneer in this field from Taiwan.
Mr Kosutic completed prestigious fellowships in Breast Reconstruction and Perforator flaps with pioneers in this field Prof. Jaume Masia in Barcelona as well as the inventor of DIEP flap – Dr Robert Allen in New York. Mr Kosutic has published some of the key papers on one of the today’s most significant advances in the field of microsurgical breast reconstruction – the use of CT angiogram and MRI for the planning of perforator flaps to significantly improve surgical outcomes for all women undergoing breast reconstruction. Mr Kosutic has also completed the prestigious microsurgical fellowship at Imperial College NHS-Charing Cross Hospital London. He is one of the few plastic surgeons in the UK experienced in penile reconstructions for transgender patients and penile cancer patients. He is one of the only 20 UK-practicing plastic surgery Consultants who is a full member of prestigious EURAPS (European Association of Plastic Surgeons).
