Mr. Dafydd (Taff) Edwards is a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon working at the Royal London Hospital, where he delivers specialist hand, wrist, and elbow surgery, and medical care for severely injured patients and an elective service in Hand, Wrist and Elbow surgery. He is the current Clinical Lead for Hand surgery at Barts.
Mr. Edwards qualified in Medicine from St.Thomas's Hospital in 2000. He has undertaken the year long prestigious British Society of Surgery to the Hand (BSSH) Advanced Training Fellowship based at Wrightington hospital where he specialised in wrist/hand surgery, complex elbow reconstruction and peripheral nerve injury.
He is a Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary College on the Master in Trauma course. His professional knowledge and skills are constantly kept up to date and is reflected in his recent publications and book contribution, notably an author for the latest edition of Grays Anatomy (2019).
His clinical interests include Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, ganglion cyst removal, sports injuries, elbow reconstruction, Dupuytren’s disease, nerve and ligament conditions, and Rheumatoid Arthritis of the hand, wrist or elbow.
