It is important that HCA is transparent about our relationship with those doctors who provide us with clinical guidance on delivering the best possible care to patients and operating our hospitals safely and efficiently. We set out here some of the ways in which we work together and the amount we pay this doctor for such services.
I worked with Mr Chan during the last few months and we took care of a few colorectal cancer patients together. I found Mr Chan an exceptional surgeon, who's easily approachable and excellent to the patients. Mr Chan undertook de-bulking surgery for a patient, who was left with no treatment options due to recurrent bowel obstruction- amazingly, this patient was able to have chemotherapy and now seems to be benefiting from the treatment. I would highly recommend Mr Christopher for simple or complicated bowel cancer patients, both in early stage or metastatic settings.
