Mr Cesare Quarto is an award-winning Consultant Cardiothoracic surgery based at Royal Brompton Hospital. He has considerable experience in all aspects of cardiac surgery but has particualt interest in complex aortic surgery and coronary artery bypass surgery.
Mr Cesare Quarto studied in University of Naples, Italy where he graduated with honours. In 2007, he moved to London and trained under world-renowned cardiac surgeons at Royal Brompton Hospital. He has jointly won three international awards for presentations about how to treat mitral regurgitation in patients not suitable for open heart surgery, detailing the use of the world's first transcatheter heart valve implantation programme at Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals.
Mr Cesare Quarto has published many research papers on varying subjects to medical journals. In his free time he enjoys travelling and playing sports.
