



Orthopaedic Surgery
Mr Carlos Cobiella Beauvais is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at the University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He qualified from Medical School at the Universidad Autonoma in Madrid, Spain and completed his basic surgical training in London. He then undertook specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, and subspecialist training in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Shoulder and Elbow Unit and at the Peripheral Nerve Injury Unit at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. In 2003, he took up a consultant post at the Whittington Hospital where he set up the Shoulder and Elbow service. Two years later he moved to UCLH where he leads a team of shoulder and hand and wrist surgeons. Mr Cobiella is also a member of The Shoulder Unit at the Hospital of St John & St Elizabeth.
Mr Cobiella sees patients with all aspects of shoulder and elbow conditions, including sports injuries, arthritis and fractures. He is an expert in all management procedures and has a particular interest in arthroscopic techniques.
Mr Carlos Cobiella Beauvais is actively involved in teaching and training of medical students and junior doctors. He is a member of faculty in numerous national and international courses in Arthroscopic and Sports Injury Surgery. He has co-authored numerous publications and regularly presents at scientific conferences.
