



Paediatric (Pediatric) Surgery
Mr Okoye is a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon in London. He specialises surgery in children up to the age of 16. He works in the NHS at St George's Hospital in South London. His training in paediatric surgery has taken him to leading specialist centres including Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Liverpool, Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital, Diana Princess of Wales Children’s Hospital, Birmingham and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He also went on to be awarded an MD from the University of Liverpool.
Mr Okoye performs a full range of general surgical operations in children. His specialises in oncologial surgery, dealing with cancer and tumours of childhood. He deals with solid childhood tumours, complex gastrointestinal problems and in paediatric thoracic surgery.
His main NHS base St. Georges Hospital, in partnership with the Royal Marsden, is one of only two centres providing surgery for tumours of childhood in London. Mr Okoye is very experienced in the use of laparoscopic (keyhole) procedures in children.
Mr Okoye is a member of the British Association of Paediatric Surgeons. He has served as it's chair since 2012. Mr Okoye is widely published in the peer-reviewed paediatric journals. Throughout his practice he has used his experience to train junior surgeons and has an active interest in medical education.
