    In 2010, Mr Ben Eddy was appointed Consultant Urological Surgeon at Kent and Canterbury Hospital. His main goal was to to set up Robotic Surgery for the surgical treatment of men with prostate cancer in Kent, he rapidly established himself as one of the hughest volume Robotic Prostate Surgeons in the country. His service has developed into a recognised training centre and he has set up and runs a leading Feloowship training programme.

    Mr Eddy qualified from Guy and St Thomas' Medical school, London, in 1996. He trained as a junior doctor and subsequently as a Specialist Registra in and around leading hospitals in the London region. 

    In 2008 he embarked on an International Robotic surgical Fellowship in Australia and trained extensively in Robtic Surgery for Prostate cancer and Laparoscopic Surgery for Renal Cancer.

    He has a specialist interest in uro-oncology focusing on minimally invasive techniques for the surgical treatment of Urological Cancers and has performed over 1400 Robotic Prostatectomy's.

    He is cancer lead for the East Kent Hospitals and Prostate Cancer Lead for Kent and Medway Cancer Network.

    In addition he has extensive training in benign Urological Procedures.

    He has presented extensively and won many awards including in 2017 being awarded the John Anderson Award from the British Association of Urological Surgerons for his work. 

    Ben also is heavily involved in Urological Charity work particularly the Urology Foundation having raised over £250,000 for the charity.
