



Cardiothoracic Surgery
Mr Aziz Momin is a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon, based at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He also sees patients privately, including at The Harley Street Clinic and The Wellington Hospital. Mr Momin specialises in cardiothoracic surgery.
He graduated in medicine from King’s College Hospital in 1997 and then obtained his MRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He was also awarded a clinical research fellowship at the British Heart Foundation Laboratories of Professor Ajay Shah at King's College Hospital and Medical School.
Mr Momin completed an MD Clinical Research Fellowship in 2005 and was awarded this from the University of London - he was subsequently awarded the Arris and Gale Lectureship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England (2009-10).
He then completed his national higher surgical training in cardiothoracic surgery at St Bartholomew's, the London Chest, Royal Brompton, Manchester Royal Infirmary and Harefield Hospitals. He was awarded his FRCS (C-Th) and returned as a senior registrar at Imperial College. His research interests include Endothelial dysfunction, mini cardiopulmonary bypass, CRP, leptin, coronary artery patency rates.
Mr Momin is currently Consultant Cardiac Surgeon and Senior Lecturer at St. George's Hospital and Medical School and was appointed in 2013.
