Mr Andrew McEvoy is a consultant Neurosurgeon in London, UK.
Mr McEvoy completed his primary medical qualification at the university of London in 1990. He then went on to complete a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in human anthropology. Mr McEvoy then chose to continue studying and has a medical doctorate investigating the effect of haemostatic changes on intracerebral haemorrhage and brain trauma. Through his journey of education and with the knowledge gained he then decided to specialize in surgical neurology.
Mr McEvoy performs all surgical therapies for the management of epilepsy such temporal lobe resections, hemispherotomy, corpus callosotomy, vagal nerve stimulation and gamma knife surgery.
Mr McEvoy has received numerous awards and has a large amount of publications which have not gone without recognition. In 2010 Mr McEvoy was listed in The Times as one of the UK’s top doctors for his epilepsy and brain tumour surgeries.
Mr Andrew McEvoy runs the largest adult epilepsy surgical practice in the UK, alongside this he also leads the surgical arm of the Department of Clinical and Experimental Epilepsy which is the renowned, pre-eminent epilepsy research group in Europe.
