Mr Coombes was brilliant. He explained things very well when it came to how the eyes work. He not only explained what he thought was wrong but also made sure I understood why and how these things were happening. I left knowing more facts about eyes than I did when I came in!

Really appreciated that Mr Coombes took the time to explain everything in the right amount of detail, and covered my questions in an approachable way and welcoming manner. I was also pleasantly reassured by his personal efforts to double ensure that absolutely everything in his office and examination area was sterilized and posed no infection risk in this COVID phase. I highly recommend him based on the care I received.

Andrew Coombes, having thoroughly discussed my case with my optician, explained very clearly the options open to me and in his opinion the best route to take. The cataract removal in both eyes and lens implants went according to plan and I am delighted with the result. Mr Coombes visited me before and after the two procedures, was very reassuring and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him. I am very lucky that I was recommended him and I cannot believe the difference he has made to my sight.

Mr Coombes was outstanding from start to finish, he did the utmost to provide the very best care. The whole process including the results of the surgery far surpassed my expectations. In addition, Mr Coombes medical secretary Grizelda Massey was extremely kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to organize all of the appointments and book the surgery. COVID added additional stress to the process and I can't thank Mr Coombes and Grizelda enough for making a challanging time more bearable.

Prior to deciding on surgery Mr Coombes carefully and clearly set out the options and outcomes for the proposed treatment. Both operations went very well, with Mr Coombes explaining each step throughout. His after care was excellent, following up both procedures with calls to me the following day. His calm, highly professional manner inspires confidence.
