Mr Anand Kelkar is a renowned Consultant Urological Surgeon with HCA Healthcare at The Princess Grace Hospital and The Harley Street Clinic. Additionally, he holds an NHS post at University College Hospital London, along with an Honorary post at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. He is a core member of the London Cancer Collaborative, pioneering the way for centralised cancer services for NHS England. With over 20 years of experience in treating prostate and bladder cancer, Mr Kelkar offers a first-class holistic approach to treatment, using robotic surgery where appropriate. He has strong connections with other members of the healthcare team if needed for more complex colorectal and pelvic operations.
During his medical training, he was awarded a JC Lisboa Gold Medal for achieving the highest marks in surgery. Following the completion of his medical degree, he completed his training in general surgery in 1990. He continued his studies and completed his urology training in 1993 and was awarded a Fellowship in Advanced Cancer at the world-famous Royal Marsden Hospital in 1997. He held consultant posts in East London and Essex before joining the UCLH team in 2016. He is one of a few surgeons in the UK that is skilled in all three techniques f Prostatectomy(open, laparoscopic and robotic).
