



General Surgery
Mr Amir Ghanbari is a General Surgeon based at the private practice BMI The London Independent Hospital, his current NHS post is Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. His areas of specialism are colorectal surgery, general surgery and paediatrics, his areas of interest include colorectal cancers, hernia repair, endoscopy, pelvic floor surgery, inflammatory bowel disease and emergency surgery.
Mr Ghanbari qualified in Medicine at the University of Glasgow with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees. He became fully qualified in 2002. He conducted surgical training in London and the East Midlands. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2017 and he is also a member of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain and Ireland.
In addition, Mr Ghanbari as an active interest in teaching and research. He has written a number of peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national and international meetings. He lectures and supervises medical students as part of their perioperative training.
