“I can’t recommend Dr Fry enough, he is brilliant. He explained my treatment at a level that I would understand and gave me options within my treatment plan. When I expressed that I was nervous about surgery he spent time helping to alleviate my fears and gave me confidence instead. “

    About

Mr Alastair Fry is an award winning UK trained and accredited Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, with a special interest in Head and Neck Surgery and reconstruction and a practice which also includes wisdom tooth surgery, implants, and salivary gland surgery.

Alastair is a leading expert in the management of mouth cancers and has published and presented at international conferences on jaw surgery and reconstruction, and has also a special interest in the early diagnosis and minimally invasive management of oral cancers and “pre cancers” with the use of laser surgery.

Alastair is now chair of Guys Head and Neck Cancer Multidisciplinary Team, and performs more head and neck surgery than anyone else in the UK with free flap success rates of 99%.

Alastair has conducted research in to the mechanisms of early invasion of mouth cancers which led to a prestigious Royal College of Surgeons Fellowship. After a period of time at the Internationally acclaimed New York Memorial Sloane Kettering Hospital, Alastair was successful in obtaining and completing a highly competitive National Head and Neck Surgery Fellowship which gave advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Plastic Surgery and ENT, relevant to head and neck surgery.

Alastair has multiple publications in peer review journals and his work has been awarded a national prize from the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Alastair’s recent innovations have centred on reducing side effects of surgery, utilising minimally invasive techniques which can avoid the facial scars that occur in traditional approaches.

I was dealt with very professionally throughout. Mr Fry couldn’t have been more approachable and helpful. I was offered an appointment for the day after my request and I received a copy of the letter Mr Fry sent to my GP two days after my appointment.

.Many thanks to Mr Fry and his team for their great and professional service. Unexpectedly I noticed a white mouth lesion which didn't go away even after 4 weeks. It was reassuring to see an expert in his field. Mr Fry performed the biopsy himself and all is well and the biopsy site healed very well with no complications. Thanks again!....'

From the initial consultation to the surgery itself, I was very happy to be under Mr Fry's care. Mr Fry is clearly an exceptional and skilled surgeon with a warm and friendly manner - I immediately felt that I was in very safe hands. Mr Fry also ensured that I was informed about the procedure, explaining my options thoroughly so I felt entirely at ease, despite any nerves that I had about the procedure. I would not hesitate in recommending Mr Fry and his team. Kind regards, Becky

At my appointment last week, Dr. Fry said he would like to see a photo of my lip after my procedure so I have attached 2 for him. I'm delighted with the result and have had absolutely no problems. I had meant to tell him how thankful I was to you for sorting everything out for me. I'm also very grateful to Dr. Fry for being so reassuring and just very nice!
