



General Surgery
Miss Sarah Mills is a Colorectal Surgeon based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. She also performs private work at The Lister Hospital, Chelsea Outpatient Centre and Sydney Street Outpatients and Diagnostic Centre. She specialises in colorectal cancer, laparoscopic surgery, TAMIS for early rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, interventional colonoscopy and haemmorhoids.
After graduating from Oxford University Medical School in 1998, she completed her surgical training in Oxford, London and Melbourne. She undertook Colorectal Fellowships at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia and St Mark’s Hospital in London. She was awarded an MD for her work on the immunology of inflammatory bowel disease. In 2016, she was appointed as an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the Department of Surgery and Cancer at Imperial College London.
Miss Mills is a JAG-accredited (Joint Advisory Group of GI Endoscopy) endoscopist and is currently developing new techniques in the treatment of complex polyps and early rectal cancers. She currently holds the national position of Chair of the Endoscopy Committee of ACPGBI.
She also actively involved in clinical research, has been published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, and is regularly invited to present work at both national and international conferences. She is also passionate about Global Health and regularly teaches courses for surgeons, anaesthetists and nurses in low and middle income countries in Africa.
