Professor Sarah M Creighton is a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at University College London Hospitals and she also sees patients privately, including at The Portland Hospital.
She has special interest in paediatric and adolescent gynaecology and with acquired and congenital genital abnormalities in addition to colposcopy..
She sees a wide spectrum of patients ranging from common problems such as teenage menstrual problems and contraception through to rare and complex congenital anomalies of the genital tract
In 2000, she set up the African Women’s Clinic at UCH for women affected by female genital mutilation. She is committed to improving health care available for women resident in the UK affected by FGM and also to the prevention of FGM and she also lectures widely on this subject.
