Miss Jemma Johns is a Consultant Gynaecologist, based at King's College NHS Foundation Trust. She also sees patients privately, including at The London Bridge Hospital. Miss Johns is a general gynaecologist, who specialises in managing early pregnancy problems, ultrasound and scanning.
She is a general gynaecologist specialising in the management of early pregnancy problems and gynaecology ultrasound. Other specialist areas include menstrual disorders, pelvic pain, fibroids, miscarriage and well woman screening.
Miss Johns qualified in 1984 with honours in Surgery from University College, London. She then undertook specialist training on Obstetrics and Gynaecology at North East Thames Deanery. Following five years in the specialty, she became a Clinical Research Fellow at University College Hospital and attained an MD with her thesis on ‘Threatened Miscarriage and Obstetric Outcomes.'
She entered the specialist register in 2008 and was appointed at King's College Hospital as a Consultant in the Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology Assessment Unit. She is also the lead clinician for paediatric and adolescent gynaecology and obstetric haematology, running an obstetric haematology antenatal clinic with the haematology team. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist and the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
