Miss Heather Evans qualified from the University Hospital of Wales in 1990. She undertook her specialist training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in North West Thames, London. Throughout her training she specialised in pre-invasive disease and early gynaecological cancers.

Miss. Evans started her work at the Royal Free in January 2001 as a research fellow looking at the role of HPV virus and cervical cancer. She was appointed as a consultant at the Royal Free in August 2002 and has been working full time in the department since then.

Miss Evan's special interest is pre-invasive disease and she has a weekly colposcopy clinic and out-patient treatment clinic. She is the clinical lead for gynaecological cancer and chair the MDT meeting. She also has a weekly rapid access clinic and out-patient hysteroscopy clinic. She has been the clinical director for 18 months and has been involved in a number of initiatives within the department.

In her spare time away from work she enjoys regular exercise and walking her 5 year old Golden Doodle.
