I went to see Dr Touqmatchi for second opinion of my problem. Although the diagnosis of my problem was the same as with the previous consultant, Dr Touqmatchi explained my condition really well. Paid full attention and respect to my complaint, made me feel very comfortable. She is very approachable and explained all aspects of treatment in full detail

I have no complaints about the care I received and communication about my condition with the consultant as I received good care at the time. I do want to add a caveat warning so that other prospective patients do not find themselves in my position. If you are paying via insurance or are not concerned about the charges you will incur I would recommend management under this care team. However, I am incredibly unhappy about the dishonesty and lack of transparency about the costs. I personally work as an NHS doctor and was very clear in my questions about the charges I would incur, as I needed to budget for these. I was clear prior to the consult and during that I was self funding and opted for the private route due to current NHS waiting times. My email correspondence was clear and direct to Miss Touqmatchi's secretary, Liz, I also tried to pay after the consult with the consultant, and she informed me that she does not like to deal with the money side of things, perhaps out of shame of the outrageous added fees I would later incur without prior warning. I initially recommended the private service to a few colleagues however I have now warned against this service. It is not acceptable to be billed for an added £450 of invisible charges.

Thank you for your feedback and I am glad to hear you felt that the medical care you received was good. However, I am sorry to hear you felt that there was a lack of transparency and dishonesty regarding additional costs that you incurred. The appointment confirmation letter that is emailed to all my patients before their initial consultation states what my consultation fees are and also confirms that any additional hospital fees (if any investigations are requested) will be billed to patients directly from the hospital. My secretary deals directly with my fees and not any hospital fees. Unfortunately we do not have any control over hospital charges for procedures and laboratory costs. I have been in touch with you directly to clarify this further and I hope this helps explain any additional costs you incurred.

Couldn't of wished for better care from Miss Touqmatchi. After seeing 2 previous consultants, Dana was so worth the wait. She explained the procedure so clearly, putting my mind at ease at all times as I was very nervous but she reassured and made me feel much calmer about it. On the day of my surgery Dana couldn't of been more lovely leading right up to my follow up appointment where she checked me with great care and i’m finally better. Cant thank Dana enough, her presence is so warm and genuine and I honestly felt so at ease considering I was having surgery. Highly recommend and thank you for taking such good care of me!

Dana was excellent! She was supportive, caring, knowledgable and reassuring. Through each appointment and on the delivery date, we felt in the best hands possible. In times where we needed to make medical decisions, she always gave clear information and support - her top concern was always the health of mum and baby. Dana was always contactable if we needed her and proactively reached out on a regular basis to check in. Dana successfully dealt with any challenges that arose along the way and delivered our baby safe and sound. We would highly recommend her!!

Dana's professional and friendly manner put us at ease from our first appointment. During labour Dana respected our wishes and supported us to have a safe and calm birth, and I am especially grateful for the care she took over protecting my perineum. Thank-you!
