



Rehabilitation Medicine
Dr Kudret Yelden is a consultant in rehabilitation medicine based in North West London. She has over 25 years of medical experience and over 9 years of specialist experience in rehabilitation medicine. She specialises in neurological rehabilitation and treating severe brain injury, consciousness disorders, neuropathic pain and spasticity.
She completed her MBBS at Aegean University, Turkey, in 1996. Then, in 2012 she became a member of the Royal College of Physicians. She later undertook postgraduate research in rehabilitation and was awarded her PhD in 2019 from University College London. Dr Yelden also has a LLM in Medical Law and Ethics from De Montfort University.
Following her training, Dr Yelden worked at the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability. She currently practices as a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at The Wellington Hospital and The Platinum Medical Centre. She has specialist interests in botulinum toxin injections for spasticity, music therapy for consciousness disorders and treating brain injury complications such as mood and behavioural changes. Dr Yelden also actively promotes patient autonomy in healthcare and the rights of patients with long-term disabilities and offers medico-legal advice to brain injury patients who have faced medical negligence.
Outside of being a consultant, Dr Yelden is a clinical lead of several research projects in the areas of neurological rehabilitation.
