About

Dr. Kate Stringaris is a Consultant Haematologist and Clinical Scientist with many years of clinical experience in the treatment of blood disorders and immune system deficiencies by using cellular therapies, stem cell transplantation.

Dr. Stingaris earned her primary medical qualification at University College London, after which she undertook her specialist haematology training at the Royal Free Hospital, after completing her basic training at St George’s Hospital, where she gained experience in Internal Medicine. Finding her passion for haematology, she went on to begin her Ph.D. in Leukaemia at Imperial College London. Upon completion, Dr. Stringaris traveled to the USA to continue her studies, investigating Immune defects and Transplantation Immunology at the National Institute of Health. 

Dr. Stringaris then returned to the UK to complete her PhD and was appointed Attending Haemato-oncology Physician at St Bart's Hospital, in addition to her post as Senior Clinical Lecturer. Dr. Stringaris continues to be an avid researcher, and continually undertakes stem cell research with the National Institute of Health, in addition to her research on natural killer cell immunity and novel immune therapies for acute myeloid leukaemia.
