Mr Edward Gee is a UK trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in Foot and Ankle Surgery. His wide scope of practice encompasses all aspects of foot and ankle conditions, including traumatic and sporting injuries, arthritis of the foot and ankle, ankle instability, bunions, painful toes, plantar fasciitis, Morton’s neuroma and complex deformities. He has trained in ankle replacements at renowned centres of excellence and has a particular interest in sporting injuries, including complex ligament reconstruction and cartilage repair.

He was born in Manchester where he grew up, and completed his medical training at the University of Birmingham in 2008. He completed Orthopaedic higher-surgical training in Manchester in 2018, being accepted onto the specialist register as a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics, and is appointed as a Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in foot and ankle surgery at Salford Royal Hospital, which is the “major trauma centre” for the Manchester region, treating the most severely injured patients.

Mr Gee completed a Fellowship in Foot and Ankle surgery with Tim Shcneider, David Shepherd and Paul Rice from the renowned Melbourne Orthopaedic Group in Australia, with travelling fellowship awards from the British Orthopaedic Association and the prestigious gold award from the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. This fellowship further developed his specialist interest in all aspects of Foot and Ankle surgery including the treatment of elite athletes. With this increased surgical skill set, Edward is able to provide a bespoke service, offering the best treatment required for every condition specific to each individual.
