



Paediatrics (children's doctor)
Dr Skandhini Carthigesan is a Consultant Paediatrician at The Portland Hospital and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Trust. She specialises in developmental paediatrics and has widespread expertise in the management of infants, children and adolescents who present with specific clinical indicators of neurodevelopmental disorders. These include development delay, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning difficulties and developmental coordination disorder. She also has expertise in children with neuro-motor disorders and complex neuro-disability such as cerebral palsy.
Dr Carthigesan graduated in Medicine at Leeds University, before training in General Paediatrics across teaching hospitals in London. She completed her specialist training in Neurodevelopmental Paediatrics at Queen Elizabeth Children’s Hospital, Gt Ormond Street Hospital and The Middlesex Hospitals in London. In 2004 she became an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Imperial School of Medicine.
