



Cardiology
Dr Simon Sporton is a Consultant Cardiologist at London Bridge Hospital and he also sees patients privately. He has specialised in Cardiology since 1994 and in the treatment of heart rhythm disorders ('arrhythmias') since 1999.
He graduated from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine, University of London in 1991 and undertook postgraduate training in Leeds and London, sub-specialising in the management of heart rhythm problems. In 2003 he was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist to University College London Hospitals before moving to St. Bartholomew's Hospital. He is Deputy Medical Director of the Barts Heart Centre, one of the largest specialist heart centres in Europe.
Dr Sporton specialises in the investigation and treatment of heart rhythm problems with treatments including catheter ablation, permanent pacemaker implantation (including leadless pacemakers) , Implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implantation, and cardiac resynchronisation therapy (CRT) for the treatment of heart failure.
