Dr Shaheen Khan is a Consultant in Palliative Medicine with expertise in managing medical problems associated with serious illness, holistically treating patients while working closely with their clinical teams, relatives and carers. The support he provides encompasses serious illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, respiratory problems, and neurological disorders.
Dr Khan was awarded a first-class honours degree in Neuroscience Bsc, later graduating from Guy’s, Kings’ and St Thomas’ Medical School in 2003. He then completed an MSc in Palliative Care from Kings’ College London in 2010, obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Leadership the following year.
Outside his clinical work, Dr Khan is committed to education and training. He is the Training Programme Director for the KHP Palliative Medicine StR training programme in London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex, running regular courses and seminars for medical practitioners, community and hospital staff on a range of topics including pain control, medications safety and advance care planning.
