Dr Sarah Harris has been a Consultant Clinical Oncologist working at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust for over 20 years. She now only sees patients privately at a range of private centres across London as well as by remote video consultation . Her areas of interests include breast cancer, prostate cancer and urological cancer, and she treats these conditions using radiotherapy and chemotherapy in central London and the south east of England.
She has extensive clinical experience in the management of breast cancer using radiotherapy and drug treatments. She has a specialist interest in technical radiotherapy due to its maximal benefits and reduced side effects. In particular she uses heart sparing radiotherapy techniques for left-sided breast radiotherapy. Furthermore, she regularly uses stereotactic radiotherapy for the treatment of localised recurrent cancers using the latest radiotherapy technologies, cyberknife and SABR. For the treatment of prostate cancer, she can perform external radiotherapy using modern IMRT and IGRT.
Along with her wealth of experience, she completed specialist training in proton beam radiotherapy at the University Of Pennsylvania in 2020. Dr Harris also holds many professional memberships, including the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Radiologists.
In her leisure time , she is a keen golfer aspiring to a single figure handicap.
