



Infectious Diseases, Paediatrics (children's doctor)
Dr Robert Boyle is a specialist consultant Paediatric Allergist working in the NHS at St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington. He also sees private patients at the Chiswick Medical Centre and The Harley Street Clinic Children's Hospital.
As an experienced paediatric specialist, Dr Boyle sees families affected by the full range of medical issues related to allergies during childhood. He has particular interests in food allergy, eczema, anaphylaxis, asthma, drugs and insect stings. Using his experience working with children and families, Dr Boyle worked alongside the Anaphylaxis Campaign to set up a network of support groups for parents of food allergic children.
Dr Boyle attended Medical School in Bristol, graduating in 1995 and then completed specialist training at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham; Great Ormond Street Hospital, London and The Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne.
After completing his PhD in Melbourne investigating strategies for allergy prevention he continued his interest in research and has published a wide range of research in international journals as well as winning several awards. He is a Clinical Reader in Paediatric Allergy at Imperial College London, Associate Professor of Evidence-based Dermatology at Nottingham University and Consultant Paediatric Allergist at St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington where he leads the clinical service for allergen immunotherapy (desensitisation).
