



Ophthalmology
Mr Riaz Asaria is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust and he also sees patients privately, including at The Wellington Hospital.
Mr Asaria qualified from Southampton University in 1989 and then undertook specialist ophthalmology training in 1992, with a specialism in retinal disease. In 1997, he was awarded the June Sutor Research Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, followed by a Medical Retina Fellowship, also at Moorfields. He then attained further Fellowships in both surgical retina and then medical retina at Bristol Eye Hospital. His research has also involved working with the wound healing team at the Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields.
Mr Asaria also has an interest in education and he teaches at the Royal Free.
