Dr Rapti Mediwake

Dr Rapti Mediwake is a Consultant  Rheumatologist and General Physician. Her NHS base is at the Barnet & Chase Farm NHS Trust, where she is the Consultant Lead of the Medical Day Treatment Unit and she also sees patients privately, including at the Platinum Medical Centre and the Golders Green Outpatients and Diagnostics Centre.

Dr Mediwake treats all rheumatology conditions such as inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue disorders, osteoarthritis, soft tissue rheumatology and post menopausal joint problems. She has also undergone specialist training in pain management.

She qualified from Southampton University in 1993 and then trained in general medicine and rheumatology at Middlesex, Royal London and Royal Free Hospitals, with additional research at the Brompton Hospital into sarcoidosis and and rheumatological-related lung conditions. Dr Mediwake is actively involved in junior doctor postgraduate education, is currently the Consultant Staff Committee Chair at Barnet and the Foundation Training Programme Director. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and a Member of the British Society of Rheumatology.
