



Dr Piers Clifford is a Consultant general cardiologist and interventional cardiologist currently based at the private practices BMI The Shelburne Hospital, BMI The Chiltern Hospital and Bupa Cromwell Hospital. His current NHS post is Imperial Hospitals NHS Trust and Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. He is also the Clinical Lead for Cardiology at Wycombe; he performs over 350 coronary angioplasty procedures each year. His areas of interest include Atrial fibrillation; Hypertension; Interventional cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation.
Dr Clifford qualified in Medicine with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees in 1987, in London. He completed his medical training in London, at the renowned St Mary’s Medical School. He also has a Doctor of Medicine in the genetics of ventricular hypertrophy. He has many professional memberships including British Cardiac Society and British Cardiac Intervention Society.
In addition, Dr Clifford is also very active in the research field, focusing on molecular cardiology and coronary intervention. He has also received many awards including National Bronze Merit award, Council of British Cardiovascular Society and Finalist in HSJ Value in Healthcare Award.
