



Rheumatology
Dr Millicent Stone is a Consultant Rheumatologist specialising in osteoporosis and spondyloarthropathy and is a leading expert in female athlete triad syndrome.
Dr Stone qualified in 1991 from the National University of Ireland. She trained in General Internal Medicine and Rheumatology in Ireland before undertaking a Fellowship Training position in Toronto, Canada. Whilst working as a consultant in Toronto, Dr Stone developed the spondyloarthropathy methodology research therapeutics program (SMART) for patients with diseased vertebral joints. This program has now been rolled out internationally. She also obtained a further degree in Clinical Epidemiology during her time in Canada.
Having returned to the UK, Dr Stone treats patients with general rheumatology, musculoskeletal symptoms and sporting injuries in addition to her specialisation in osteoporosis. She has developed screening programs for osteoporosis patients across the UK and Canada.
Qualified in 1991 from the National University of Ireland Postgraduate training in General Internal Medicine and Rheumatology in Ireland Fellowship training in Toronto, Canada (Faculty as Consultant Rheumatologist and Associate Professor of Medicine)
