Roman House, Roman House, 296 Golders Green Rd, London, United Kingdom, NW11 9PYDr Malcolm Rustin is a Consultant Dermatologist with a specialist interest in atopic eczema, skin cancer, psoriasis and rare skin diseases. He qualified from Medicine in 1976 from the University of London, and he completed his medical training at Middlesex Hospital in London. He then undertook his specialist dermatology training at St Bart’s Hospital and University College Hospital. Following this, he completed his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 1988 and was soon appointed Consultant at The Royal Free Hospital a year later.
He is actively involved in research in atopic eczema and works with Professor Arne Akbar from the Department of Immunology. He has been a supervisor to many MD and PhD students, and has published over 100 articles based on his research. He was awarded a personal chair by University College London in 2011. He has been the Academic Vice-president of the British Association of Dermatologists, President of the Section of Dermatology at the Royal Society of Medicine and is President Elect of the Dowling Club.
