He practices privately in Enfield, Bushey/Elstree and Golders Green. He diagnoses and treats a wide range of rheumatology conditions and and has a number of special interests. He can arrange and interpret appropriate investigations such as X-rays, MRI Scans, Bone Density Scans, Nerve conduction studies and blood tests. He regularly undertakes procedures such as carpal tunnel, other soft tissue and joint injections
Dr Malcolm Persey has extensive experience and particular interest in general rheumatology, osteoporosis, gout, arthritis/rheumatic diseases in pregnancy, and vasculitis. Other areas in which Dr Persey has a special interest are non-surgical treatments of a variety of rheumatological problems such as carpal tunnel syndrome, neck and shoulder pain, tennis elbow and osteoarthritis of the hand and lower limb.
Dr Malcolm Persey qualified from Oxford University and the Royal Free Hospitals. He then underwent training in general medicine and rheumatology gaining experience at St Mary’s, Central Middlesex, Northwick Park, The Hammersmith Hospitals and their Postgraduate Medical School and at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Since 2000 Dr Malcolm Persey has been a consultant rheumatologist, based at the Barnet and Chase Farm sites of the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.
