Dr Lorenzo Masci is a Sports and Exercise Medicine consultant based at ISEH. His professional website is www.sportdoctorlondon.com.

Sports and Exercise Medicine doctors take a holistic approach to diagnosing and managing any musculoskeletal condition. The scope of our practice includes managing virtually any musculoskeletal or medical problem associated with physical activity. As most musculoskeletal conditions do not require surgery, we specialise in providing a range of conservative treatment options to get you back to the activity that makes you feel better.

In addition to managing many musculoskeletal conditions, Dr Masci has a world expertise in UPPER AND LOWER LIMB TENDINOPATHY such as Achilles and Patellar tendinopathy and tennis elbow, hip and groin pain and ultrasound-guided interventions such as injections. By combining a clinical assessment with diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided interventions in one visit, he can provide a one-stop clinic solution.

As a Specialist sports doctor, Dr Lorenzo Masci has worked for various elite sporting institutions. He was the lead Sports Medicine Doctor for Wasps Rugby from 2011 to 2017, Fulham Football Club from 2008 to 2010 and Melbourne Storm Rugby League from 2005 to 2007. As a passionate tennis fan, he loved working for Tennis Australia and the Australian Open from 2001 to 2007. In addition, he was the medical lead for the Aquatics centre at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in 2006.

Actively involved in research, Lorenzo has written over 20 peer-reviewed papers and has spoken at multiple international sports medicine conferences including Arsenal Football conference, Barcelona Football conference and the British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine. He is currently involved in tendon research at prestigious institutions including the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Imperial University, Queen Mary University and Brunel University. He is honorary lecturer at Queen Mary University. He has narrated and produced an on-line musculoskeletal ultrasound-guided education programme and is actively involved in teaching Sports and Exercise Medicine graduates at University College London.
