



Gastroenterology
Dr Lisa Das is a Consultant Gastroenterologist since 1997. Formerly she enjoyed the privilege of being the UK’s first Community Gastroenterology Consultant at the Royal London Hospital Barts Health NHS Trust with an interest in improving service delivery. She trained at Guy’s Hospital Medical School, London before completing her medical residency in Boston, USA. Subsequently Dr Das completed her subspecialist training in Gastroenterology at Columbia University, New York and holds both Board Certification in Gastroenterology (USA) and full accreditation in the UK General Medical Council's Specialist Register in Gastroenterology.
Dr Das has extensive expertise in both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy) and general gastroenterology. She has a special interest in Irritable bowel syndrome, abdominal pain/dyspepsia, gastrointestinal cancer screening, obesity, inflammatory bowel disease, gastro-oesophageal reflux, gastrointestinal bleeding, and abnormal liver function. Dr Das now focuses on private practice, providing clinically excellent care with a kind, friendly approach and allowing for a specific emphasis on women’s gastroenterology.
