



Dr Laura Proudfoot is a UK and US-trained Consultant Dermatologist. She consults on all general dermatology in both adults and children. She has a specialist interest in treating children and younger adults having undertaken sub-specialty training in paediatric and adolescent dermatology. She studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh where she was also awarded an honours degree in Psychology. She undertook postgraduate training at the internationally renowned St John's Institute of Dermatology and was then selected for a prestigious fellowship at Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago, USA. Dr Proudfoot was awarded a PhD degree in Genetics and Molecular Medicine from King's College London. She has published extensively and co-authored recent UK guidelines on the management of both tinea capitis and haemangiomas. She presents nationally and internationally at conferences and courses.
Dr Proudfoot is a substantive NHS consultant dermatologist and paediatric dermatologist at the Royal Free Hospital London. She works privately at the Portland Hospital where she reviews patients lower than 18yrs and her adult private practice is based at The Harley Street Dermatology Clinic. She is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, the British Society of Paediatric Dermatology, the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and the Royal Society of Medicine.
