



Gastroenterology
Dr Kwok Tang qualified at the University of Edinburgh Medical School, with subsequent broad postgraduate gastroenterology and hepatology specialist training in London at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital and University College Hospital. He completed training at the Institute of Liver Studies, King's College Hospital.
He pursued sub-specialty training in advanced endoscopy/colonoscopy and ERCP as Assistant Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (1998-1999), and now provides a comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy/ERCP service. He is Educational and Clinical Trainee Supervisor in general gastroenterology, and JAG-accredited endoscopy trainer. He is examiner for UCL/RFH Final MB and CMT interviewer at London Deanery.
Dr Tang spent a further period of extended research at the Institute of Hepatology, University College London (2000-2003), completing his MD thesis in hepatitis/liver disease, presenting and publishing widely in this field. He was appointed Consultant Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist in 2005 at Royal Free London NHS FT, Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals.
Dr Tang’s areas of special interest include endoscopy/colonoscopy, ERCP, liver disease, pancreatobiliary disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, colitis, abdominal pain and screening for bowel cancer. He has a large NHS and private practice devoted to the management of these conditions and general Gastroenterology.
