General Practice (GP)
Kam is an experienced Men’s Health Physician with a specialist interest in Sexual Medicine. He was born and brought up in North London, educated at Latymer School and studied medicine at The London Hospital Medical College, University of London, graduating in 1985. He has since studied and worked in the UK, USA, New Zealand with volunteer work in Tanzania and Peru. He has postgraduate qualifications from the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP London) and the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP London). He has completed the Multidisciplinary Joint Committee of Sexual Medicine (MJCSM) course and is also a Fellow of the European Committee of Sexual Medicine (FECSM). His NHS base is with the Andrology team at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.
Kam has particular expertise in the assessment and management of testosterone deficiency, erectile dysfunction, penile rehabilitation, premature ejaculation, delayed ejaculation, lower urinary tract symptoms, prostate screening and Men’s health lifestyle assessments.
He is a trainer and appraiser of doctors and upholds a strong belief in providing high quality, safe, holistic, evidence-based medical care for his patients.
He sits on the committee of the UK Primary Care Testosterone Advisory Group (PCTAG) and is treasurer of the British Society of Sexual Medicine (BSSM). He is also a member of the European and International Societies of Sexual Medicine (ESSM, ISSM) and Primary Care Urology Society (PCUS). He regularly attends national and international conferences to stay up to date with the latest research in his areas of specialist interest and to share learning.
He is co-author of the Men’s Health Guidelines for General Practice and has been invited to speak and chair scientific meetings in the field of men’s health and sexual medicine.
