    About

Dr Jon Valentine is a Consultant Pain Specialist. He specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of chronic pain conditions, including back pain, neck pain, nerve pain, joint pain, post-surgical pain and widespread chronic pain, with a special focus on non-interventional management.

Dr Valentine also specialises pain medication and pain management for patients who want to avoid or defer major orthopaedic surgery, such as joint replacement.

When joint replacement surgery is required, Dr Valentine is able to help patients with severe and prolonged postoperative pain and establish a comprehensive pain management plan.  This includes managing the pain experienced leading up to the surgery, the pain experience in hospital after the surgery, and the ongoing pain and discomfort after the surgery.

Dr Valentine set up private practice with London Sports Orthopaedics in 2021, which is one of the UK's leading private orthopaedic and sports injuries practices, based in the City. He also treats patients in Norwich.
