Dr Jonathan Rees is a leading Consultant Rheumatologist with HCA Healthcare at The Shard, along with an NHS post at Cambridge University Hosptial Trust. He has a wide range of experience in all areas of rheumatology and helps cells suffering from all types of arthritis, gout and other issues. He is also an expert in Sports Medicine and has worked with elite athletes and professional football and rugby players. During the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing he was appointed Medical Officer to team GB, and in 2012 worked as a Sports Medicine Consultant for the London Olympic Games. The talented physician is also certified in performing musculoskeletal ultrasound examination, offering a one-stop-shop for diagnosis and treatment.
He graduated from the Royal London Hospital with a Medical Degree in 1995 and completed his postgraduate training across five different London teaching hospitals. He completed a prestigious Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians, along with an MD from University College London which won a research prize from the British Society of Sport and Excercise Medicine. He is a public figure nationally, having appeared in BBC and ITV news for his contribution to the field.
