



Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Mr John Bidmead is a Consultant Gynaecologist specialising in minimally invasive surgery. He is based at Kings College Hospital, but also performs private work with HCA UK at The Shard, and London Bridge Hospital.
After completing his basic training in obstetrics and gynaecology, he undertook further subspecialty training in both urogynaecology and in minimally invasive surgery in the UK and Australia. He is registered as a subspecialist in urogynaecology and has full accreditation in laparoscopic surgery. He is the director of the Endometriosis centres at both Kings College Hospital and London Bridge Hospital.
After completing his training he was appointed as a consultant in the Urogynaecology unit at Kings College Hospital, where he is now a Clinical Director and Lead Clinician. The unit is known internationally for its pelvic reconstructive surgery.
Mr Bidmead has a clinical interest in minimally invasive treatment of prolapse and urinary incontinence and advanced laparoscopic treatment of benign gynaecological conditions, in particular endometriosis, fibroids and heavy periods.
