



Haematology
Dr James Uprichard is a leading Consultant Haematologist with HCA Healthcare at The Wellington Hospital. The talented physician also holds an NHS role at St. George's Hospital, a major trauma centre, where he is Clinical Lead for Thrombosis and Blood Transfusion. He has a wide range of experience in all areas of haematology but has a clinical interest in haemostatic disorders in pregnancy and bleeding disorders.
He graduated in medicine from University College London in 1996 with a Medical Degree and completed his senior house officer posts across numerous centres of excellence including Hammersmith and the Royal Free. Following this, he was awarded a PhD from University College London for his thesis investigating rare bleeding disorders. During his career, he has remained heavily involved in Medical Education and was appointed as a clinical lecturer in haemostasis at Imperial College in 2007, and is now an Honorary Senior Lecturer at St. George's Hospital in London. He completed a prestigious Fellowship at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, USA.
