



Oncology
Dr Hamid Sheikh is the Clinical Oncology Lead for upper GI cancer at The Christie and is involved in a number of research trials focused on lung cancer in the UK. He runs a lung cancer service for the populations of Salford and East Cheshire and this includes offering an intra-luminal brachytherapy service for treating tumours in aiways.
Dr Sheikh completed his core medical training on the London medical rotation and gained his membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2002. He studied on the clinical oncology Specialist Registrar training programme from 2003 until 2008 and gained his Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 2007.
