Dr Guy Lloyd is a Consultant Cardiologist based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London and Eastbourne. He qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' in 1991, underwent training in cardiology in the same hospitals and was appointed and consultant in Eastbourne in 2002. He was recruited to establish the echo lab and the new Barts Heart Centre in 2015 which is the largest lab in the UK, he also supervises the service at University College Hospitals, London. Guy has a specialist interest in heart valve disease, pioneering the concept of heart valve follow up clinics in the UK.
Guy has a wide academic and research interest in the field of cardiac imaging and heart valve disease with a broad range of projects on the go including in collaboration with the British Heart Foundation. He is a past President of the British Society of Echocardiography, one of the founding council of the British Heat Valve Society, he recently chaired the Imaging Council of the British Cardiovascular Society and has served on its council.
He sees patients at for both primary consultation in all aspects of cardiac disease and also for specialist imaging.

Dr Lloyd is at the top of his field in terms of cardiology imaging. Patients benefit from both this knowledge and also a firmly patient focused approach. He is always keen to assist in all areas and I believe is an excellent clinical opinion.
Dr Lloyd is a highly skilled specialist in the world of cardiac imaging, patients have an advantage inclusive of but not limited to his approachable and knowledgeable technique. Dr Lloyd has also been the previous president of The British Society of Echocardiography. I would recommend him most highly in this regard.
