



Neurophysiology
Dr Gorande Kanabar is a Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologist with East and North Herts NHS Trust and also works in private practice. Within the NHS, she has developed neurophyiological capabilities as head of the team and this has included setting up the paediatric EMG service and improving the paediatric EEG service through the use of video-EEG equipment. A further area of expertise is in diagnosing sleep-deprived epileptic disorders. Further, she is an Honorary Consultant Clinical Neurophysiologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Dr Kanabar completed specialist training in clinical neurophysiology at Barts and the London Trust. She is active in educating other doctors about her field of expertise and provides training for the neurology and neurophysiology specialist registrars at the Royal Free Hospital. She was recently awarded Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Middlesex University, lecturing in Clinical Neurophysiology.
Her memberships include Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London and Member of the British Society of Clinical Neurophysiology and British Peripheral Nerve Society.
