



Respiratory Medicine
Dr Gary Davies is a Consultant Respiratory Physician in London and also the Consultant Advisor in Medicine for the Royal Air Force. Along with aviation medicine, he has an interest in pleural disease and pneumothorax.
He undertook his medical training in London, before undertaking a Senior Fellowship in Respiratory and Intensive Care at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Following this, he completed an MD investigating the pressure breathing system of the Typhoon (Eurofighter), at the National Heart and Lung Institute and RAF Centre of Aviation Medicine.
On completed of his training, Dr Davies was appointed as a Consultant Respiratory Physician Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He is currently the Clinical Director for Acute Services at the Trust and was fundamental in establishing the surgical Acute Assessment Unit, which has won national recommendations for safety and innovation. Along with this, he is currently developing a pleural service at the hospital.
Dr Davies also runs a specialist aviation medicine respiratory service and general respiratory clinic at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and a Specialist General Medical Aircrew Clinic at RAF Henlow.
