I am from Trinidad (Caribbean) and was diagnosed with Conn's Syndrome in Oct 2018. I was referred to Dr Floriam Wernig (Endocrinologist) where I opted to follow up with his medical services in August 2019. Dr Wernig had helped me in every step of the way in my planning and preparation from Trinidad, months in advance. He made my trip to the UK very comfortable and reassuring that all was taken care off. Dr. Wernig was so kind enough, he went out of his way and kept in one-on-one communication with me, guiding and advising me, despite never meeting or speaking to him before. Dr. Wernig even when above and beyond to set up a team to perform the necessary testing (adrenal venial sampling) for the period that i was planning to visit, have other doctors at the Hammersmith hospital to review the results and for preparation of surgery all within a very short space of time. He even came out of his vacation period just to have my first consultation with him. Wernig was very professional and I felt very comfortable especially with his reassuring word. His explanation was very thorough and I understood clearly every step of the way. Dr. Wernig is very experienced and well knowledgeable in his field. He is very kind and caring through his words and action. I was very pleased and happy to have Dr Wernig as my doctor.I am grateful for my experience with Dr. Wernig, and in the end of it all, I did correct surgery on my right adrenal gland, where i am now completely off all hypertension and hypokalemia medications. Words cannot express how happy and thankful for meeting such a lovely, caring and kind person as Dr. Wernig. I am forever grateful to him and his team, where i can now live a normal and happy life. I feel blessed as I know that God had sent one of his angels to look over me and take care of me during the time I was seeking medical attention in the UK.Dr. Wernig will always have a place in my heart. I felt that I got the best possible medical treatment ever and could not ask for anything more. I pray that God continues to bless and guide Dr Wernig so that he can continue his extraordinary service to mankind and impact positively on the lives of thousands and thousands of people. Thank you, Dr. Wernig, for everything.

Dr Wernig spotted my Cushing syndrome (caused by my adrenal tumour) and explained everything very clearly to me, at a very stressful time. He took the time to speak to me regularly while I was in hospital, updating me on the various tests. I have continued to see him following my adrenalectomy. I couldn’t rate him more highly.

I had my first meeting with Dr Wernig last week and was hugely impressed with the patient and thoughtful way he reviewed my case, taking the time and trouble to walk me through each aspect of my condition. I was seen at the end of a long day and I felt like he went above and beyond to make me feel that my concerns were being heard and properly acknowledged. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Dr Wernig was recommended to me by a friend/colleague (M.D., Ph.D). Tests done via the NHS had lead my GP to diagnose a problem with my thyroid and wanted a confirmation about the diagnosis and the prophylaxis from a specialist. I have been very impressed by Dr Wernig, by his quick diagnosis, his professionalism, his thoroughness, the efficiency of the structures he works with, and his kindness. I have the feeling to be really listened to, to be asked the right questions, and given simple by precise answers. This is exactly what I was looking for, and I'm planning to keep going to Dr Wernig for routine checks going forward. Plus, he speaks a very good Italian, my own language. What else would you want?!

Ich kann Dr. Wernig vollen Herzens empfehlen und wuensche allen zukuenftigen Patienten eine schnelle Genesung.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I've been Dr. Wernig's patient for a while and go regularly to routine examinations and to discuss, what else one could do in my case (Schilddruesenknoten). I feel I am in safe hands with Dr. Wernig, but above all I appreciate his human and calm nature. Wernig's gift is to explain complex things in such a way that all people can understand them, and so I can be well-informed and make my decisions with him. I also estimate that the waiting times are extremely short and that there is generally a positive mood in practice. I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Wernig and wish all future patients a speedy recovery.

When I was diagnosed with phaeochromocytoma (cancer of the adrenal gland) Dr Wernig took care of my medication prior to the operation to remove the cancer. I visited him weekly whilst he carefully monitored blood pressure and my ongoing ability to cope with the alpha blockers needed pre surgery. Then I was under his care at Hammersmith for 48 hours prior to the operation, as he stepped up the drugs. I found him reassuring, professional, empathetic and happy to answer my many questions! He visited me every day in hospital after the surgery to check progress, which was most reassuring. Post operation, Dr Wernig is now carrying out tests to ensure hormone levels are normal and that all the cancer has gone (this will include a scan as well as blood tests). I feel I am receiving the best care possible from a professional who works at the cutting edge of endocrinology, whilst being approachable, kind and caring (which when you are coping with cancer, can make such a difference). I would recommend Dr Wernig as a Consultant Endocrinologist.
