Dr. Dipesh Patel is a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Physician specializing in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Acute Medicine. He has a special interest in Type II Diabetes Mellitus, cardiovascular disease prevention, and general endocrinology including thyroid and parathyroid disease. He received his qualification from St. Georges Hospital in 1998 and completed his endocrinology training in North West London. Additionally, he holds a PhD from Imperial College London, which focused on researching the effect of glucose and diabetes on cellular cholesterol export.

Dr. Patel has worked at various esteemed healthcare institutions, including University College Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital, before joining the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust in 2013. He is dedicated to providing clinical care to his patients and consulting on Endocrinology and Diabetes Management. Furthermore, he supports the Endocrinology team and offers assistance to GPs in community-based specialist diabetes care.

Dr. Patel also holds the position of Honorary Associate Professor at UCL and works on clinical trials, in addition to his role as an Undergraduate site lead teacher of Endocrinology at the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust. In his leisure time, he enjoys participating in sports with his family.
